I went to Connecticut College, where I studied English. I also focused some of my studies on film studies. I hope to continue my education by getting a PhD in English Literature. While I was in my undergraduate program, I worked as a writing tutor for three years. I helped students be more clear about what they were writing. I also helped students learn better reading skills, especially when it came to U.S. History coursework. This also happens to be a favorite subject of mine. When I tutor, I like to ask the student what they want to learn or get from the experience. Then, we focus on that particular area, and I changed my teaching methods if needed. I also like to use questions a lot in my sessions. I can help with areas such as College Essays, Reading, Psychology, Geography, Public Speaking, Social Studies, Life Sciences, English, and Science. I can also help students improve their study skills. I am able to help students better prepare for exams such as the SAT. I live in West Newton, MA. When I'm not working, I like to cook, and I enjoy reading. I also like screenwriting and I like to travel.
